Cary found that, although the official site hasn’t even a press release or a product page, Epiphone is releasing a new limited edition model of the Wildkat electric guitar from the archtop collection series. This new model is the Epiphone Limited Edition Wildkat is very similar to the Wildkat model, and it’s not the first limited edition model of the Wildkat because in 2005 Epiphone released a limited edition of the Wildkat Deluxe.
The Epiphone Limited Edition Wildkat features mahogany archtop body with laminated maple top, hard maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, 24.75″ scale length, licensed Bigsby tremolo bridge, two alnico P-90 pickups, 3-way pickup switch and 2 volume and 2 tone controls (one of the volume controls isn’t in the classic Gibson/Epiphone position because the f-holes).
Maybe the features that make it a very cool and good looking guitar are the Tiger Aged finish and the gold hardware, they make a really good combination. The Epiphone Limited Edition Wildkat is now available and its price is $529.99.
