This one is another guitar model released by Fender on its relic series, the new Fender ‘62 Heavy Relic Stratocaster is an almost exact replica of the ‘62 Stratocaster that was heavily used by lots of artists years ago and it still is used, John Frusciante recorded the Californication album with one of that guitars.
The Fender ‘62 Heavy Relic Stratocaster features premium ash body, maple neck, laminated rosewood fingerboard, 25.5″ scale length, American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo with Ash Tray cover, three custom ‘69 single-coil Strat pickups, 5-way pickup switch, master volume and two tone controls (middle and neck).
The guitar has some features that put it on the relic series like removed finish from the back of the neck and factory-made tears, nick and scratches. Available finishes are 3-color sunburst, lake placid blue, daphne blue, black, candy apple red, violin burst, dakota red, vintage white, shell pink, and candy tangerine. The Fender ‘62 Heavy Relic Stratocaster is now available and its price is $3,500.
