Superlux released some days ago 4 new mic models, we showed you the E523/D X/Y Stereo Field Recording. This time the model is an active aluminum ribbon mic for recording tasks. The Superlux R102 Aluminum Ribbon mic features high sensivity and smooth frequency (20 Hz to 15 kHz) and very good transient responses.
The Superlux R102 Aluminum Ribbon mic has 2 different parts, an electro-magnetic transducer and an impedance converting circuit, and features low output impedance, low distortion, decreased noise and figure 8 polar pattern and phantom power. This mic is a very good tool for all kind of studio, the humidity and temperature don’t affect it.
This mic can be used with electric guitars/basses, wind instruments or percussion instruments and comes with a shielded cable and a mic stand adapter. The MSRP of the Superlux R102 Aluminum Ribbon mic is $399 and is expected to be available very soon.
