Hamer Guitars released a new model inside its Hamer USA Series, the Hamer USA Talladega. This guitar has been designed by Hamer’s guru Jol Dantzig and is a single cutaway guitar with a Telecaster-like shape with 2 single-coil pickups designed by Seymour Duncan and Jol Dantzig.
The Hamer Talladega features chambered Honduras mahogany body with arched figured maple top, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 25.5″ scale length, Hamer Sustain Block bridge, 2 custom-designed hand-wound Double-D single-coil pickups, 4-way pickup switch, master volume and tone controls.
The guitar features Amber Burst finish and comes with a hardshell case. Obviously, looking at the features the Hamer Talladega can’t be a cheap guitar, its MSRP is $3,800.

This looks like a winner and I’d like to try one out but because Hamer only makes a couple guitars a week they are back-ordered. This means I’m probably not going to get a “deal” on one but it’s probably worth it. I’ve got a Hamer Artist model and it’s the best guitar I’ve ever played, so I’d like to try a Taladega because of it’s single coils.
When you have the chance to try it, please give us some comments. This Hamer, very similar to a PRG, can be a very good guitar.
