Zaxcom is showing at NAB Show some new products like the ZFR800 Mic and they also introduced the TRX700 Plug-on Recording Transmitter. This little wireless device is specially designed for shotgun-type mics and uses digital modulation to provide very high quality as wired connection and avoids noise and distortion from components.
The Zaxcom TRX700 features up to 12 hours of timecode-referenced audio recording, miniSD card storage, automatic backup of the RF transmission, 48V phantom power and 4 hours of run time with only 2 AA batteries. This device can be used by almost all the existing mics, so you have the possibility of adding recording and transmitting features to your mic’s system.
Price and availability for the Zaxcom TRX700 has to be announced yet.
