Ibanez RG2228 8-String Guitar

Ibanez RG2228 8-String Guitar

We forgot to show you this Ibanez guitar that was introduced at Winter NAMM 2007. This is the first 8-string guitar model released by Ibanez and is made with Japanese precision with high quality materials. The guitar is the Ibanez RG2228 8-String.

The Ibanez RG2228 8-String Guitar features basswood body, 5-piece prestige neck, rosewood fingerboard, jumbo frets, 25.5″ scale length, Fixed Edge III-8 bridge, 2 EMG 808 pickups, 3-way pickup switch and volume and tone controls.

I’d like to see someone playing this guitar, it could be really spectacular. The Ibanez RG2228 8-String Guitar is only available in galaxy black finish and its price is $1,499.95.

If you want to see someone playing this 8 string check out Mesuggah. It’s their signature model, I believe.

Yes, exactly. Infact, listen to Fredrik Thordendal’s Special Defects album “Sol Niger Within’ and you’ll get way more than you’d expect from anyone to pick up such an instrument.

Well another great band that uses these are After the Burial
on their album Rareform. I like Aspirations and Berserker the best.
