One of the first results of the Novation and Overloud collaboration has been released at MusikMesse, the Novation NIO 2|4 Mobile Interface. An interface with ultra-low latency that can be used for recording with a DAW or live shows.
The Novation NIO 2|4 features instrument, mic (with phantom power) and 2 RCA (for stereo recording from a CD/MP3 player) inputs with level control, 4 RCA and 2 headphone outputs with level control, USB port (the device is powered by USB) 3 monitor mixes switch and built-in multieffects. Because of the Novation’s Direct FX technology the effects can be used in real time, this effects include amp simulations, distortion, delay, chorus, flanger, EQ, …
A very good choice for home recording or live shows. We will see when Novation announces the price and availability of the NIO 2|4 mobile interface.
