There are other music news besides Musikmesse. Gibson continues releasing the Guitar of the Week and in the 10th week it’s the turn for the Gibson SG Standard with 3 Single Coil Pickups. It’s really strange to look at a SG guitar without the classic humbuckers.
The Gibson SG Standard with 3 Single Coil Pickups features mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, 3 Single-Coil Blade pickups, 6–way pickup rotary switch and master volume and tone controls.
As all Guitar of the Week, the production will be limited to 400 units, the guitar comes with a hard case and there’s only one available finish, Natural Satin. Because of the 3 single-coil pickups, the Gibson SG Standard with 3 Single Coil Pickups produces a bright and clear sound. We’d like to see on of this strange but good looking guitars.
