Drumnetics Bass Pedal

drumnetics.jpgThe Drumnetics Company, LLC was at NAMM recently, showcasing a product that might interest some of you slow-footed drummers out there. The Drumnetics Bass Pedal replaces the typical spring loaded pedal motion using repulsion by reversed magnetic polarity. What this means is, instead of a spring loaded pedal, the Drumnetics Bass Pedal utilizes a magnet under the foot board and atop the baseplate which allows the natural forces of magnetism to propel your foot back upward when you depress the pedal.

The Drumnetics Bass Pedal also has precision bearings in the internal mechanisms of the rotor cam which allows for individual drummers to set custom beater angles and height adjustments. The linkage may be extended or retracted according to desired foot board angle, and the slide adjust slot allows the user to align the magnets.

With this progressive source of kinetic function by a direct transfer of energy, the patented Drumnetics pedal is designed to provide an efficiently smooth, rapid action.

Currently available in a “standard finish” for the low price of $300, and a “two tone finish” still to come, the Drumnetics Bass Pedal seems to offer cutting edge technology for the world of drumming. I myself being a slow-footed drummer, am anxious to try out this new technology. I can’t imagine this magnetized pedal being much more responsive than some of today’s spring-loaded pedals, but if I ever find out, you all will be the first to know.

I’m not sure what you mean by it being a good pedal for a “slow footed drummer.” I’m a pretty fast footed drummer who uses drumnetics pedals. I think these pedals are great! There not just for slow footed drummers.
