Taylor Guitars has released a new 12–string electric/acoustic guitar, the Taylor T5, that joins the T5 lineup. The Taylor T5 comes with Elixir Strings, with Anti-Rust, to improve its tone and extend the string lifetime.
The Taylor T5 features thin-line mahogany hollow body (with Koa top), 1–piece neck and headstock, ebony fingerboard and bridge, 1 single humbucker pickup (bridge position) and bass, treble and volume controls.
This 12–string guitar comes with balanced octave strings to produce a smooth sound. The Taylor T5 also comes with a hardshell case and its recommended price is $2,980.

Have you checked out the new VXT? It’s a hybrid also, but leaning more toward the electric side of the spectrum. It’s not out until May, but there are some videos up on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/thevxt
Yeah, we checked the VXT and all the announcements that are being made, but as it looks like there will be no feature list (besides the Duncan 59 pickups and the videos on youtube) nor more detailed info, we’ve decided to wait until May 1st to talk about it.
