The Handle is a guitar designed by Peter Solomon for XOX Audio Tools, an Italian company, that won the Chicago Athenaeum Museum’s Good Design 2006 award for its revolutionary design. The Handle is an ultra-light guitar made from carbon fiber, a very resistant material even in higher or lower temperatures that offers wider harmonic range than wood.
The Handle features 1–piece carbon fiber body and neck, carbon-fiber composite fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 24 medium jumbo frets, Hipshot Baby Grand bridge, 2 DiMarzio Paf Pro humbucker pickups, 3–way pickup switch and 1 volume and 1 tone controls.
The Handle has been designed as an ergonomic, easy-handling and comfortable guitar. We’d like to hear how it sounds and if it’s as comfortable as they announce, but the guitar, although looks a little bit strange at first, is very cool. By the way, its price is €1,900.
