Reverend is increasing the number of its guitar models, this time the new model is the Reverend Manta Ray 290 from the Set-Neck series, a guitar specially designed for jazz sounds, but is able to play with rock and blues too. There’s a variation on the this guitar called Manta Ray 290–FM that features flame maple top.
The Manta Ray 290 features semi-hollow mahogany body (with solid maple flat top, except for FM model), 1–pieced mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, TOM bridge with stop tail, 2 Reverend P-90 humbucker pickups, 3–way pickup switch (hum cancelled when both pickups are selected) and volume, tone and bass contour controls.
The Manta Ray 290 is only available in metallic alpine finish while Manta Ray 290–FM is available in tobacco burst finish, and both model’s price is $559. They will be shipping in April.
