
One of the instruments introduced at the Winter NAMM show is the Dan’l Saturn IV, a bass guitar that won the Best of 2007 accolades award. The instrument is a 4/5–string bass guitar with a ergonomic design (including a neck wider near the bridge than near the head) and half weight of a standard bass guitar. There are 3 models available Saturn IV Performer, Saturn IV Pro and Saturn IV Custom.
The features shared by all the models of the Dan’l Saturn IV are two-piece maple neck, 34” scale length and Schaller adjustable bridge. Dan’l Saturn IV Performer model features basswood body, Bartolini P Bass pickup, rosewood fingerboard and 1 tone and 1 volume knobs.
Dan’l Saturn IV Pro model features walnut body (with bubinga or zebrawood top), rosewood fingerboard (with fret-less option), Bartolini J and P bass pickups and 2 tone and 2 volume knobs.
Dan’l Saturn IV Custom model features walnut and oack body, ebony or maple fingerboard (with fret-less option), Bartolini J and P bass pickups and 2 tone and 2 volume knobs.
