IK Multimedia joined Authentic Hendrix foundation to a special edition of AmpliTube that models the sound of Jimi Hendrix so you can use it in your recordings, the AmpliTube 2 Jimi Hendrix Edition.
The AmpliTube 2 Jimi Hendrix Edition includes 5 modules (tuner, stomp pedal board, amp head, cabinet+mic and rack effects) and all models included in the modules are based on the gear used by Jimi Hendrix. The stomp pedal board module includes 9 effects (5 fuzz, 1 wah, 1 chorus/rotating-speaker, 1 octaver and 1 opto-tremolo), the amp head module includes 4 head amps (3 Fender-based and 1 Marshall-based), the cabinet+mic module features 7 different cabinets (Marshall, Fender and Silvertone based) and rack effects module includes 4 effects (rotary speaker, stereo reverb, parametric EQ and tube compressor).
The AmpliTube 2 Jimi Hendrix Edition will be available in 2007’s first quarter as VST, AU and RTAS plug-in and as a standalone application and its price will be $249.
