Winter NAMM ‘07 guitar announcements (II)

As this Winter NAMM is being very prolific in guitar announces, here is the second take of the Winter NAMM ‘07 guitar announcements. This take covers Epiphone Les Paul Studio “Chameleon”, B.C. Rich Mockingbird Special, Fender VG Stratocaster, Epiphone Performer ME and SE Acoustic-Electric and Daisy Rock Retro-H De-Luxe guitars.

Epiphone Les Paul Studio Chameleon

Epiphone Les Paul Studio “Chameleon” has this name because its ability of changing its color depending on the light and the viewing angle (because of the flip-flop paint finish). The guitar features mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, Tune-O-Matic bridge (with stop tail), 2 Alnico Classic humbuckers, 3–way pickup switch and 2 volume an 2 tone controls. The finishes available are blue/green, brown/salmon and silver/blue.

Bcrich-mockingbird-special

B.C. Rich Mockingbird Special looks like a classic designed Mockingbird guitar, but B.C. Rich has changed some of the features that where characteristic. The guitar features mahogany body (with deep arched top) and neck, ebony fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, Tone Pros Tune-O-Matic bridge, 2 Rockfield SWV vintage humbuckers, 3–way pickup switch (near the bridge), 2 volume and 2 tone controls. Available in white and onyx finishes and the price has to be announced but rumors fix it at $699.

Fender VG Stratocaster

Fender VG Stratocaster is a classic strato guitar with some additions. The classic part contoured body shape, maple neck, maple or rosewood fingerboard, synchronized tremolo bridge and 3 American Series Alnico single-coil pickups. The additional part features 2 additional smaller knobs, a LED and a new pickup. The two additional knobs are Mode Control (allows you to change the behavior of the guitar, there are 5 modes: normal, modeled stratocaster, telecaster, humbucking pickups and acoustic) and Tuning Function (allows you to select the desired tuning in every moment, drop-D, open-G, …) knobs, the LED indicates the battery level and the Roland GK bridge pickup brings a world of digital sound to one of the classic guitars. The Fender VG Stratocaster is available in sunburst maple and black finishes.

Epiphone Performer ME & SE

Epiphone introduces at NAMM the new Performer ME and SE acoustic-electric guitars. The features are similar, both feature maple body (ME features flame maple top and SE features solid sitka spruce top), mahogany neck for ME and hard maple neck for SE model, eSonic2 stereo preamp system and NanoFlex/NanoMag pickups (both models). The Performer ME model features trans black and Performer SE model features natural finish.

Daisy Rock Retro-H De-Luxe

The Daisy Rock Retro-H De-Luxe guitar is one of the latest announcements of Daisy Rock for this NAMM. The guitar features basswood semi-hollow body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, Bigsby B-50 Vibrato bridge (with adjustable Roller Saddle), Daisy Rock Vintage mini humbuckers, 3–way pickup switch and 2 volume and 1 tone knobs. The available finishes are sea foam green and ruby sparkle.
