The pickups introduced by DiMarzio at last NAMM show are now available. The models are DiMarzio Area ‘58 DP415 and DiMarzio Area ‘61 DP416 single-coil pickups and they have been made for guitar players who want to have the 50’s and 60’s blues Texas sound in their guitars. DiMarzio assures that both pickups are better than humbuckers when cancelling the hum and can be placed on any position on the guitar but Area ‘58 DP415 is better for neck and middle while Area ‘61 DP416 is better for bridge position.
Both models features are 4 conductor wires, Alnico 2 magnet, … The sound for Area ‘58 DP415 is great for lead guitar solos and hard chord playing but it works well in soft playing, and Area ‘61 DP416 features a sound like a guitar with heavy strings and a player with heavy hands (even if you don’t have them).
Both models’ price is $69.99 and they are available.
