Fishman, one of the most used acoustic preamps, has released the Ellipse Aura Acoustic Guitar Preamp that opens a new world of possibilities in this kind of devices. The Ellipse Aura preamp features a mini-USB port that can be plugged to a computer to download different Aura Images to match more accurately the sound from your guitar.
But this can be a new way of downloading different sounds to your acoustic guitar, Fishman could get profit of this by giving away a bank of different sounds so people can choose the one he likes more, download it and use it on his Fishman preamp. That would be an interesting feature.
Besides this the Fishman Ellipse Aura features tone-shaping blend control (2 options pickup and image), volume control, low-frequency tone shaping switch (Natural I and Natural II options), phase control and anti-feedback button (both to control feedback from the preamp).
