Maybe it’s a little expensive for a Christmas present but Roland released a new version of its TD6 virtual drum kit, the Roland TD-6KX. The upgraded version features the V-Drums, V-Cymbals and mesh V-Pads.
The V-Tour TD-6KX kit includes:
- TD-6V Percussion Sound Module
- PD-105BK V-Pad as snare
- Three PD-85BK V-Pad as toms
- CY-5 Dual-Trigger Cymbal Pad as hi-hat
- CY-8 Dual-Trigger Cymbal Pad
- CY-12R/C Dual-Trigger Cymbal Pad (with separate bell triggering for the ride)
- KD-8 Kick Trigger Pad
- FD-8 Hi-Hat Control Pedal
The TD-6KX also features the TD-6V Percussion Sound Module, a 64–voice device with up to 1,024 percussion sounds, drum kits, patterns, …
The TD-6KX’s price is $1,699.95 and is available since end of November.
I just (yesterday!) took delivery of a TD-6KX from iMusician in the UK. I’ve not put it together yet but can’t wait to get my hands on it this weekend! I’d say the extra money spent on the X looks like money well spent!
