When I was reading the Line6 website for the TonePort KB37’s post I realized that there was a new line of amps, the Line6 Spider III. The Spider III amps are for rock guitar players who want to have, in the same device, lots of different sounds and an easy way to switch between them.
The main features of the Spider III amps are from 4 to 12 amp models (depending the model) like clean, crunch, blues, on fire, metal, insane, etc., each one based on famous amps and with a very defined sound, 6 or 7 effects like phaser, flanger, tap echo, delay, etc. (up to 3 simultaneously), user programmable presets (from 4 to 36), headphone/direct output and line input (for CD or MP3 players). The combo models feature Celestion speakers, and the Spider III cabinet (for head amps) features 4 x 12” Custom Celestion speakers. Some amps feature also up to 250 artists preset, up to 150 song presets and built-in front tuner.
There are 7 Spider III amp models: Spider III 15 (15W), Spider III 30 (30W), Spider III HD75 (75W head version), Spider III 75 (75W combo version), Spider III 120 (120W combo), Spider III 150 (150W combo version) and Spider III HD150 (150W head version), and the Spider III cabinet.
The price range goes from $99.99 of the Spider III 15 to $399.99 of the Spider III HD150 and the $499.99 of the Spider III 150 or the $419.99 of the Spider III cabinet. This amp serie looks really good and are affordable high range sounds amps.
