The MX400 features 17 Lexicon reverbs, several delays and modulation effects, 7 effect routing options (like quad mono, dual stereo, … and all configurable by only twisting the right knob, no need to touch cables), 99 factory and 99 user programs for stereo and dual-stereo modes, 25 factory and 25 user surround programs, dual S/PDIF digital input/output, 24–bit recording, LCD display and 1/4″ balanced/unbalanced TRS I/O. The MX400XL version of this model also features balanced XLR inputs and outputs.
