Vigier recently announced that has created their fist signature bass, the fortunate is Roger Glover, bassist of Deep Purple on Marks II and from V to X. The Excess Roger Glover Signature bass is based on the Vigier Excess bass model.
The main features of the Excess Roger Glover Signature bass are alder body with a maple top, rosewood or maple freatboard, phosphorescent dots inlays, phosphorescent knobs contours and 3-band electronic EQ (designed by Glockenklang amplifiers). Other features are twin single-coil pickups designed by Benedetti (with 2 Alnico magnets per string), 33.8″ scale length and quick-release bridge.
The price of the Excess Roger Glover Signature bass has to be announced yet, but I’m sure it will be high because Vigier basses are all hand made.
