On of the most used recording programs (music production system, they like to name them) releases a new version. Steinberg introduced the version 4 of its Cubase. Cubase is used either by professionals or by amateur musicians and most people say it always offers great results.
This new version features, besides the same features of version 3, of course, real multi-channel 5.1 surround sound, MIDI recording, editing and mixing, seamless integration of external hardware, Pristine 32–bit floating point audio engine, new virtual instruments, new plugin set VST3, control room, instrument tracks, …
The Cubase 4 will be available on October, will work with Mac OS X and Windows platforms and its price will be 879€.
