We talked about Hoag optical pickups some time ago and now Hoag Instruments announces that its MIDI package will be available for all their optical guitars. This MIDI package was only available for its K-MAX MIDI Guitar.
With the MIDI package all the Hoag optical guitars can play like a MIDI guitar without needing a MIDI pickup because optical pickups have a MIDI output. For those who didn’t know, a MIDI guitar can act like a synth playing different instruments’ sounds converting what you are playing on your guitar. Besides this, Hoag optical guitars also allow you to play along MIDI sounds because MIDI output is both divided and mono.
