Traveling around with the guitar has always been a problem when you have to take a flight. Most people don’t want to check-in their guitars, and on board personal doesn’t allow to take it with you. Stewart Guitars wanted to solve the problem with its Stow-Away guitar, and now Stewart Guitars offers a new import line of Stow-Away guitars.
The Stow-Away is a strato shaped guitar with 3 single coil pickups, headless, 25 & 1/2″ scale and 22 medium frets built with alder wood body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The main feature of the guitar is the Clip-Joint neck connection which allows to assemble/disassemble the neck from the body with a thumb screw. When the neck is disassembled you can store it in the diagonal cavity in the back of the guitar body.
The Stow-Away can be fitted in a little case like a wallet and travel around with it. Available in black, red, dark blue metallic, and two color sunburst, the price of the import line is $499.95. Stewart Guitars also offers the possibility of trying the guitar before buying it, the import line doesn’t have this option yet, giving a refundable $400 deposit.
