The harmonica has always been a difficult instrument to amplify, when players approach the harmonica to some mics the sound becomes really distorted and unintelligible. The VHM-7 Bushman Torpedo Harmonica Mic, developed by Bushman and manufactured by Nady, promises to solve that: you can turn the volume on your amp and will be no feedback. This model hasn’t a volume control, probably Torpedo Harmonica Mic’s next generation will do.
Besides this, the Torpedo Harmonica Mic produces a thick and fat tone with the cardioid pattern dynamic cartridge, and can be used for vocals as well.
VHM-7 Bushman Torpedo Harmonica Mic’s retro design, which reminds me of an Orson Wells mic, is really good looking and its price is $99.95.

My Bushman mic seemed to work fine through a PA but had nothing through my amps. As a result I hardwired it, installed a volume control, and replaced the low impedence element (piece of crap) with a Turner CB mic element. It is now a very cool looking, and sounding harp mic. I have also used Shure and Astatic elements with equally good results. I would buy a bushman shell in a heartbeat, but the stock element really sucks.
You did not acknowledge my first response to your mic. It was not a glowing endorsement, but at the same time, it was neither vulgar nor malicious. I wonder how many other responses you have simply not put on this site. Constructive criticism is what makes things improve. My point was that your mics design is top notch, but your choice of elements lowers this mics value to a harp player.
First of all, thanks for commenting on the site, your first comment is very informative for harp players.
But… I must say that instead of throwing garbage to me when you didn’t see your first comment you should though that this site can have a comment moderation system for first time users, like a lot of sites on the Internet, and I’m not monitoring it 24/7, so your comment appeared some hours late.
You’re right constructive criticism is good, but you have to learn it yet.

I stand corrected. I should have given more time for a response. Please accept my apology.
