Fretlight FG-451 PRO, LED iluminating guitar

Did you always wanted to take lessons to learn to play the guitar but you don’t have time or you don’t find a good teacher? Fretlight released a new guitar of his FG-400 Series Fretlight guitars, the FG-451 PRO. Featuring two Alnico humbuckers with a single-coil between them, 5-way position switch, curved flamed maple top body, 22 frets, Deluxe Fixed Bridge among others.

But the main feature of FG-400 Series is the Optek Proprietary Advanced Polymer fretboard that adds LEDs to the 21 firsts frets. This fretboard combined with software included with all the guitars from the serie allow beginners to learn chords, scales, classic riffs or learn to improvise some solos.

The software communicates with the guitar by a USB cable and while playing tabs on the software the guitar illuminates the LEDs on the frets you are supposed to tap.

This guitar learning methods seems a good way to memorize chords and scales but I don’t think it teaches how to use them, I prefer the classic way. The price of Fretlight FG-451 PRO is $899.95.
