Some time ago we talked about the URS Classic Console Strip, now Unique Recording Software (URS) brings the 1975 Classic Console Compressor. This software recreates the 1975 VCA Compressor and features two different plugins, the compressor only and the compressor, limiter and side chain version. Compressor and limiter have attack, release and threshold knobs.
The compressor/limiter/side chain version allows to both soft and hard compression and soft and hard knee limiting, in any configuration, and has a “Brick Wall” limiter.
The compressor only version is 3 times more DSP efficient and acts as a limiter when the ratio is at least at 10:1.
The TDM version features high resolution 48 bit TDM and 64 bit RTAS double precission processing unit for increasing clarity, headroom and unparalleled gain reduction.
The TDM version’s price is $499.99 and native version’s price is $249.99 and both include the two different plugins.
