Vigier Guitars developed a new strap button to prevent inopportune guitar fallings, specially on stage. Just like the wall nails, it has an end pin with a brass casing inserted deep on the guitar body to secure the strap button.
This could be a very useful gadget if it was available for other guitars too, to avoid problems on quick stage guitar changes.
