Most people I know have some vinyls at home, as they don’t want to throw them for the nostalgia. But, at the same time, they never play them because of fear of scratching.
With the ELP Laser Turntable this problem doesn’t exist, as it uses a laser instead of a needle for picking up the audio from the vinyl. The audio is then transmitted directly to the amp, withoung ever being digitized.
It even allows to pause and scan the record, but it will cost you a lot: $15,000.
