Yamaha AW Series, portable digital studio workstation

AW2400_EnlargedPortability is one of the most valued features nowadays and companies know that. One example of this is the new Yamaha AW portable digital workstations, the AW1600 and AW2400.

The most interesting features, in my opinion, of both models are high-speed 40 GB internal hard drive and CD-RW, both to store audio tracks recorded. You can also copy data to hard drive from CD if CD is copyright free or from a USB stick using the USB 2.0 port.

Other common features include high-performance 24-bit A/D and D/A converter, pitch fix function for precise vocal pitch correction and 8 virtual tracks per physical track.

AW2400 is a 16–input/24–track that can record high-quality uncompressed audio (16 or 24 bits) and 44.1 or 48 kHz, and AW1600 is a 8–input/16–track that can record high-quality uncompressed audio (16 or 24 bits) and 44.1 or 48 kHz.
