At the beginning of the year hand-manufacturer Carl Martin released a new serie of vintage pedals, Crush Zone, Surf Term and Red Repeat. We will look at Red Repeat, a delay pedal based on Carl Martin’s Delayla but much more affordable.
With a 9V battery Red Repeat can work as delay or echo. As delay it provides 600 millisecond delay and as echo works just like the classic analog delay devices.
Carl Martin recommends 3 settings: the 50’s Slapback to remember 50’s sound, All-Round Warm Vintage Echo for solos without interfering too much with the rhythm of the song and Slow Song Echo for the slow songs lead guitar.
Price is near $110 in the States and near 120 € in Europe.
