Scott French’s SF3, another strange guitar?

Yesterday we were talking about strange guitars and today we notice that Scott French released a new guitar design, the SF3. Authentic handcrafted, Scott French’s last design allows people who can afford it to build his own custom SF3 guitar.

The design is awesome and seems much comfortable. The possibilities are standard or headless versions, sperzel and hipshot or ABM hardware, high gloss polyester finish over natural wood or custom mixed colors and locking Strap Buttons and Locking Tuners (or Locking Nut). Also, being handcrafted, you can choose scale length, fret size, neck carve, fingerboard radius and the two humbucking pickups. It also has the possibility of installing a Roland synth. Of course, the more quality equipment you choose the more expensive the guitar gets.

The site has a on-line custom SF3 builder where you can see the options and a simulated image result. Prices start at $2200, but it seems worth it. Here are pictures of some custom SF3 already built.
